54-59. "Parental Disapproval" Tour 2005 06-18-05----06-26-05

This was probably one of the biggest shows we have ever played in our lives. We nabbed the opening spot for the Backyard Babies the first night of our tour. This is the first tour any of us has ever been on and we opened up for the Backyard Motherfucking Babies. We left town around three and arived at the club about 5. The booking guy told us to just hang around a while till The Babies sound checked and everything. OK no problem. Well it took them three hours to sound check so we didnt go on until about ten at night. Even then we had to play on the floor in front of the stage because The Babies had so much equipment. The show went well, not very many people showed up but we had a good time. We ended up talking to the other national bands a lot and they really dug us. We watched The Babies Play, packed up and tried to find somewhere to stay. We ended up sleeping in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn where The Babies were staying. We never got to talk to them so we ended up just passing out. Early the next morning we were woken up by the Police telling us to leave. This was only the first night.

House show in Iowa City. We drove One hour to Iowa City from Des Moines. Not bad driving everybody was chipper. We got there early and caused trouble downtown for a while. The show was at a house called the Whoa Boat. This place was freakin awesome. The basement was small and there was a pretty good size crowd. The hosts were nice and got a few kegs for everyone to enjoy. Mike got retarded drunk and passed out durning our set. We played pretty good other than that and the crowd seemed to dig us. Mike was ok we just proped him up against his amp and tried to hold him still. This is real rock and roll fun now.

Day off. We drove for 5 hours to Sioux Falls where we found a Truck Stop and stayed the night. The hot dogs were two for a dollar and the clerk let us put free cheese and chilli on it. Fucking right. We found a porn store on the way which always seems to keep everyone occuppied for a while. The moral was at its peak for the rest of the trip after that

Day off again. We had a show cancellation in Brookings, SD so we decided to stay in Sioux Falls and have some fun. First things was first we hit up the firework stores. The first one we went to had this awesome kid working there. He let us take anything we wanted. We ended up taking over 200 dollars worth of fireworks. This will come into play later on in the tour. We were freaking set. Next we found this awesome water park and payed three bucks for fun, sun, and babes all day long. Sticky met a really hot chick that we hung out with all night. And Sam met two Asians that were unbelievably hot. They gave him thier numbers but he wrote them on his arm and went swimming again. Later that night there were no numbers left and he was out of luck. We decided to drive to North Dakota and stay there.

Buckstop Junction in Bismarck, ND. After being hasseled by the employs of The Flying J truck stop all not we packed up and drove straight through ND. It was long and painful. We finally arrived and found the venue. It was located in this wild wild west town. The crowd was big and love us. We fit in well and met a ton of nice girls. Sticky got a number from a transexual and our light tech Dan even got a number from a girl. We stayed with a bunch of punks and had a blast all night long.

Darkstar Paintball in Brookings, SD. After the painful drive back through ND, we ended up at a paintball arena that was the venue. All the guys suited up and played some nasty games of rock and roll paintball. We played to a pretty decent crowd that liked us. We met some really nice girls after the show but they were to young and we had places to go. We stayed with a couple punks that we knew and partied all night long. Mike almost got a ticket for reasons we will not discuss but everythig was cool.

Blaine's House in Fremont, NE. Here is where the fireworks come back to haunt us. Duff our Merch guy decided to through a couple rocks out the window, no biggy. Well at the gas station the cops found us. He was arrested and held for 100$ bail. We witnessed him get hancuffed and locked up. We paided the bail and were on our way. We made it to town in time for the show. It was a house show with a free keg and a pretty decent size crowd. We rock for the last time on tour and parted our seperate ways till the next night when we were at it again tearing up Fremont.
